Hey everyone, i thought i would start a little introductory thread
so we all can get to know each other a little better
So every new member on the site feel free to post a little about yourself below
Well, i can start out by saying i'm an MMO addict, and unlike most do i actually Love game lore, which means i read my quest lines and such ( GHASP ), yes i actually read all of it mostly.
I've been playing various MMO's for 7 years now, yup i were a tiny punk back when i started at my first MMO, no it weren't Runescape, sorry guys i simply find that game too repetitive. it were a chiby little game called Maplestory which held me for years, but to be honest were it probably the community, my guild members and so on which held me for that long.
i ended out as Leader of the official European section of the Hidden-Street guild which were a guild most who have played that game probably have heard of. oh well moving on, i tried World of warcraft, but it never really suited my taste.
so quickly moved on to Aion instead, a very beautiful game, and a nice community too, ( most of them can be bad in pvp though )
but which game isn't.
Well switched forth and back to maplestory, Aion and allot of Nameless MMO's i beta tested allot of mmo's too, trying to find the game that suited me, i had always been used to allot of flexibility in maplestory, and the simple fact that you can't avoid enemys in 3d mmo's put me off, but Karos, a f2p MMO had the right ideals for a PVP mmo, which i loved but the gameplay were way too stiff, and i remember being transformed into a polygon in the beta due to i fell trough the floor in a dungeon,
and sadly most of them turned out like that Good ideas, but bad games, well i'm not gonna name them all, but i came across Divine souls, which had me very exited and never have i been that disappointed, well at first glance did it seem perfect,
i know this video shows the complete opposite, but jumping is garbage, you can't jump very high and you can only jump straight into the air which makes the game feel very stiff, and makes jumping very useless
in the mean time did i while looking at betas hit the game called Rift which entranced me, very good lore, smooth gameplay indeed, but it simply needed something, in the end were it once again like wow all about the gear, and not enough about player skills, and at gamescom 2011 did i get to play both guildwars 2 and Tera online which both are very great games. i decided to go for guildwars 2 ( after having played them both )
and i'm now working on my HoM in guildwars 1, and catching up on the lore.
